American Expressions/African Roots: Akinsanya Kambon’s Ceramic Sculpture

Sacramento-born artist Akinsanya Kambon is a former Marine, Black Panther and art professor who started drawing while fighting polio as a child. This exhibition focuses on the artist’s terra-cotta sculptures representing African deities and spirits, American history and religious subjects.
