“At birth I was given the life-defining challenge of a left hand without fingers. Seeing the unity of an all encompassing God, I was able to transcend the barriers often set forth in the traditions of religion, culture and the cultural perceptions of handicaps.”
Kate Blue lives in Elverta, earned an art degree and worked in IT for more than 25 years. After retiring she returned to painting and has since won multiple best in show awards and has been accepted repeatedly to the Crocker Kingsley show and Stockton Art League National Juried Exhibition at the Haggin Museum.
“My paintings are born from a place of free spirit, celebrating life and positive energy. Much of my work is influenced by my passion for hiking. Being surrounded by nature cultivates an emotional connection that sparks my creativity and curiosity for free-flowing, harmonious design.”
Barbara Arnold is an acclaimed ophthalmologist, award-winning artist and art teacher.
“After gaining valuable knowledge from esteemed instructors at Sacramento State College, American River College and Sacramento City College, I painted horse portraits, which was my goal at the time. Gradually, my interests shifted to abstract art.”
