Tower Bridge “My name is Danny Sanculi and this image is part of the Sacramento After Dark exhibit at the Viewpoint Photographic Art Center going on through April. One of my favorite places to shoot in Sacramento is the Tower Bridge. There are always interesting angles to capture the bridge, and I especially like to do long exposure shots to capture moving vehicles! Check out my Instagram @thelightninja for more of my work.”
Railyard Reflections This image is one of Clayton Blakley’s works in the upcoming “Sacramento After Dark” exhibit at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center throughout April. Clayton studied photography at Sacramento State, and has long been inspired by Sacramento’s scenes between dusk and dawn. A few years ago he renewed his interest in photography after connecting with other photographers through Instagram communities like SacAfterDark and Igerrsac, and has been selling prints as a fundraising effort for Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Greater Sacramento, whose board he currently chairs. Iron #10 Miller’s photography will be featured in the exhibition, “Real Abstracts,” from April 7 – May 18 at Ella K. McClatchy Library at 2112 22nd Street. “I like using the camera to abstract subjects from their familiar settings in order to emphasize the shapes, textures, and patterns that interest me. By exploring only a portion or detail of an object isolated from its usual context, I’m able to see it from a fresh perspective, free from expectations about a subject’s nature or the resulting image.” Visit annemillerphotography.com
