Inside East Sac December 2019

Using transparent watercolors, Karen Hammon paints realistic scenes and studies that reflect her Northern California heritage and fondness  for familiar and rural subjects. She challenges herself to capture the complex play of light and shadow on reflective, transparent and distressed surfaces. Shown: “Big Yellow Marble,” watercolor, 20 inches by 26 inches, depicting an array of glass marbles on white background.
