This piece was awarded a 2024 Inside Publisher’s Award in the California State Fair Fine Arts Competition. Kate Blue lives in Elverta, earned an art degree and worked in IT for more than 25 years. After retiring she returned to painting and since then has won multiple best in show awards and has been accepted repeatedly to the Crocker Kingsley show and Stockton Art League’s Juried Exhibition at the Haggin Museum.
