Mel Smothers is an American contemporary artist who evolved during the Pop Art movement of the 60s and 70s alongside Andy Warhol and Wayne Thiebaud. His work has exhibited in museums and galleries internationally, including his “I Painted Over Andy Warhol” and “After Dorothea Lange” series that transform and embellish paintings by the Masters.
