Mary Carboni has been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember. For many years, she focused on teaching others. Now retired from teaching, she has gallery showings and has earned recognition for her art.
“My vision/memory is replete with countless childhood hours patiently and meticulously cutting out paper dolls. These childhood ventures helped my evolution, helped create the identity of the mature woman I am today. As a grown woman I now employ sharper scissors and have a sharper critical eye”
As an artist, Kathy Dana is committed to revealing the positive energy in all things. She has exhibited in solo and group shows, and is the recipient of an international award from Artists Magazine.
This oil painting is rendered from a photo taken on the Sacramento River. I thought the composition was stunning because the reflection of the landscape is mirrored on the river.
