Bill Chambers grew up in Sacramento and earned a BFA at California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland, where he studied graphic art. He later earned his MA in fine art from UC Davis. Chambers has spent most of his life teaching art to upperlevel students, as well as incarcerated youth for the California Youth Authority, but has always remained a working and exhibiting artist.
