Although Sacramento native Leslie Toms paints a variety of subjects with an emphasis on color, she loves painting flowers. Toms spotted a pink camellia on her neighbor’s front porch and asked for a cutting, which led to her capturing on canvas one of the most beautiful camellias she had ever seen.
