Paula Bellacera is a contemporary ceramic sculptor, painter and printmaker. This image of Tower Theatre’s and Tower Records’ iconic neon signs was captured with Polaroid film in 1995 using a non-digital technique to manipulate the photo emulsion. The photograph is part of Bellacera’s retrospective exhibit of Sacramento icons at the Viewpoint Photographic Art Center Sept. 11 to Oct. 5.
