“Secret Shore” by Susan Ballenger is featured in the annual PBS KVIE Art Auction. Inspired by her plein air painting around Folsom Lake and along the American River, Ballenger experimented with acrylic methods to capture the lush shoreline as an expressive collection of shapes, colors and textures. This artwork is 18 inches by 24 inches, acrylic on board. The PBS KVIE Art Auction will be live on air and online Friday, Oct. 2, from 7–10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon–10 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Visit kvie.org/artauction and see the entire art auction collection on display at PBS KVIE Sept. 1–30.
