Cover Artist Pat Mahony

Inside Arden May 2023

Pat Mahony’s landscapes are a compilation of visual and emotional memories of vistas she has seen. She renders an image on the canvas as if it were a feeling or recollection rather than a detailed depiction. Her work has been collected by numerous corporations, and is in private collections and museums, including the Crocker Art Museum. Shown: “Yellow Rose Tree,” oil on canvas, 6 inches by 20 inches. This piece, available for $1,800, was inspired by a walk through the McKinley Rose Garden during the height of the blooming season. It will be featured in a large one-person show May 10 to June 24 at the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis. Visit natsoulas.com.
