Mary Carboni has been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember. For many years, she focused on teaching others. Now retired from teaching, she has gallery showings and has earned recognition for her art. She works mainly in acrylic and oil on canvas, as well as ceramics. Shown: “Waiting for Pops,” acrylic, 36 inches by 36 inches. This painting was commissioned to promote Pops in the Park, an East Sacramento concert series held every Saturday in June.
