Cover Artist Tom Sellas

Tom Sellas is a local artist who has painted the American River, abstracts, Greek Aegean landscapes and still lifes since 1984. He is a graduate of Sac State with a BA and MA in art and a K–12 teaching credential. Sellas taught art in the Elk Grove Unified School District for 35 years. Shown: “The Oasis,” oil on canvas, 16 inches by 20 inches (detail shown). This piece, for sale at $200, is part of an Elk Grove Fine Arts Center exhibit Aug. 6–25.
