I love the quote by the late comedian and actor Robin Williams, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s party!’” With spring underway, we have reasons to party in Pocket and Greenhaven.

FLOWER FARM

Everything blooms at Outta Pocket Farm, our local “farm-to-vase” establishment. Vendors are on site Sunday, May 10, offering Mother’s Day gifts. There’s a treat for moms who visit.

A floral design workshop at the farm is Saturday, May 16, at 8:30 a.m. The class is limited to seven people. Supplies are provided.

The farm holds yoga classes starting Sunday, May 17, at 9 a.m. For $20, get a yoga lesson and floral arrangement. Guests supply their own mats and water.

To reserve a workshop or ask questions, call Dawne McGuire at (916) 812-2010. The roadside flower stand marks the farm entrance at 7150 Pocket Road. Visit outtapocketfarm.com.
