Rio City Café
Featured: Inside Sacramento – Old Sac
2019
Husband-and-wife owners Mark and Stephanie Miller opened Rio City Café in 1994 in a stylishly rustic building designed to resemble a steamship warehouse from the late 1800s. The concept was perfect. The Sacramento restaurant blends seamlessly with the quaint, historic charms of the Old Sacramento riverfront. The casual setting, overseen by general manager Scott Meier features indoor and outdoor seating, room for banquets, and Tower Bridge and riverfront views that match the inspiration of a fresh, farm-to-fork menu. While Rio City dishes are distinctively Californian, executive chef Lai Saepharn combines local, house-made ingredients—favorites include ahi nachos, jambalaya, specialty meats and seafood—and can accommodate any diet. A full bar includes craft beers, specialty cocktails and a wine list of Napa and local labels.
